My friend Baliva has just released his new single "On A Mission"
Baliva is from Zim and has been making music for awhile. This single precedes a forthcoming album which if based on the quality of this single will be worth grabbing when it's released.
My mate Pete Coggan's band (Forerunner) have released their long awaited EP called "Hold Your Fire"... I had anticipated this was going to a fantastic collections of songs and boy did they exceed expectations. Riff laden, hook filled, musically quite distinct and just essentially a brilliant listen. This self produced gem is well worth picking up and it's only £3.95, what a complete bargain...
I can't recommend it highly enough, go and buy it here, you won't regret it!
As promised we now have plenty of photos and videos being uploaded from the fantastic RFC Unplugged. Check the videos out here (being edited very well by the talent Joe Smith). I have to say my favourite song of the night was Abi's very clever looped version of "Keep On Moving" by that group Five... enjoy the immense nostalgia factor when listening...
And so the first RFC Unplugged is finished, it was a fantastic night and I absolutely loved Abi and Bambury Tree's sets, was a real privilege to share a stage with such talented people! Was amazing to see so many people and hopefully we're making steps towards seeing community being built in the church. Looking forward to the photos and videos that I'm sure will follow. Big thanks to all the people that made it happen especially Scott, the Del Rios and to the many others who put in such hard work to make the magic happen! Now to bed....
One of my fave bands at the moment - Rend Collective Experiment, (whose album is great and worth checking out on the old spotify) have done the quite impressive feat of performing Chris Tomlin's track "How Great is Our God" by simply using iphone instrument applications.. for those who are thinking it's going to be a bit rubbish I hope you are suitably impressed by just how good a sound the band manage to get...
